Eklipse: Open Call for Review

Eklipse: Call for Methodological Protocol Peer Review and Open Consultation of the request “Blueprint for site-specific conservation objectives for Marine Natura 2000 sites in the European sea basins”

Eklipse invites experts to contribute to the review of the Methodological Protocol of the Site-specific Conservation Objectives (SSCO) request developed by the Eklipse Expert Working Group. This request was commissioned by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV) and submitted to the Science Service for Biodiversity via the Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD) ticketing system under the EU-funded Horizon Europe BioAgora Project.

This is a critical milestone in developing robust, science-based site-specific conservation objectives for Natura 2000 sites. This review will directly influence how conservative objectives are defined, assessed, and implemented across Europe.
